Numeric shifter install, with tranzit blu!!! Now airbag light???
My tranzit blu arrived yesterday and I knew the Numeric shifter would be in today, so I decided to spend the day inside the car. Neither of those projects are a big ordeal individually, but combining the two engulfed most of the day. Especially since I took the time for a drinking lunch followed by clay-bar and wax of the painted center console. Good and rare opportunity for that. All went well, but I now have a light on the dash for the airbag... Thoughts?
Now, after wiring Tranzit blu, I did power on the car to make sure everything was working before re installing the PCM, at which time the center console was removed! Could the airbag light be a result of the center console harness being unplugged which does house the passenger airbag light? Maybe I am reaching here, but nothing else make a ton of sense.
All that aside, boy for those that have no ssk, the Numeric Racing shifter is a work of art and it feels even better!

Oh yeah, and I had read a lot about the Numeric shifter, and that you need to cut carpet to run the lowest/shortest setting... Well I disagree. I installed it in the middle position, and ran it through the gears with no know, and inspected the clearance below the cables. Seemed like plenty of room to lower the handle 1/4-1/2 in so I dropped it down. It's close to the carpet but I see no issue running it just that way. I will however say that after driving it, it's almost too short of a throw, not quite, but does seem to require more effort than I wanted to shift, especially into reverse but all gears really. Understandable as you are literally moving the pivot point thus adjusting the leverage of the throw.
