Wow! Can't wait to see this on track when it's done! A 2-year build!

MA: "you can't wait"...imagine how I must feel...most importantly, I hope I can remember how to drive! Fortunately, I have a had some friends keeping me at speed, and offering me sit time!

That's right! You got to drive one of those normally aspirated "momentum cars!" :-)

Very nice. What springs are you going with? Did you get the ecu side of things figured out. I'm betting you will need to install a 7GT2 cluster to make it all work. I would imagine you are going with a Motorsport abs while everything is pulled apart? The ABS was one of the best upgrades I've ever done.

Once I get the car back and tested (if ever). One of the first upgrades will be Motorsports ABS! (RL Post # 293 by Steven_S was an eye opener)....ICE BREAKING IS REAL!!!... and he explained to a "T" and why it happens. Makes perfect sense.

What is that central display, will it be tied to or replace a race dash like the motec? Auto blip too :)

Webspoke:

The VDO display is actually the rear view mirror/backup camera. We are using an AIM MXS for a dash & data along with a SmartyCam HD 2.

Looking forward to seeing the car finished. Looks like all top notch stuff. Considering how much money you are spending on the car, I would highly recommend going with a Motec dash over the Aim product. The Motec stuff is a pro level product while the Aim stuff is more of a lower end recreation product. Once you've played with both you realize what a huge difference in capability and quality there is. The software side of Motec is better hands down. I've had some of the aim stuff and half of it has already been replaced due to glitches and failures. I'm currently using the last version of the SmartyCam and its been Ok. The Aim ECU bridge has already been replaced twice due to failures. The Aim stuff looks good but it's what's under the skin that leaves a bit to be desired. All the Motec stuff I've had has been brilliant and 100% flawless. There is a reason Porsche Motorsport has used Motec for many years in all their cars. Just my $0.02...

Very nice build.

With the motorsport steering pump, looks like you did not need to get an idler to replace the PS pump? I am doing the same conversion on my car.

Also, if you haven't driven with the AutoBlip Module yet-- they work great :)

Seattle Turbo: RE the electric steering pump. They just ran a shorter serpentine belt.

RE: Motec, all the AIM products have already been purchased and a lot of it installed. Hopefully it will suffice for my "recreational" needs. As things fail I will entertain replacement options as needed.

Gotcha. I didn't realize you had already purchased everything. When do you anticipate having the car wrapped up? I'm sure you're ready for it to be done.
