Leather seat problem

My leather seat has an impression from a multi-function tool that was in my pocket. Most of it seems to have relaxed away however some of the impression is still there.

How can I get rid of it or try to mitigate the impression?

TIA

Heat gun around the area about 12 inches away. Slowly rub the defect away. This is directly from the Porsche Work books.

I was thinking using a leather conditioner and massaging into the leather and not sit on it for a day or so.

Thanks, I'll give the heat gun a try .

However, it seems counter intuitive, I would think the heat would stretch more leather and make it look saggy. I was thinking something to make it shrink like ice. But I'll go with heat.

Heat will soften and expand briefly, but allow it to retake shape as it cools and shrinks. Similar to "quenching" dings in sheet metal parts.

Good luck!

Sun and general interior heat should even it out naturally. Why don't you just wait for that to occur? Be patient or you might kcuf it up.

Yes, sounds like the right approach. I didn't want to use conditioners since it may change the color and its getting cold now.

I have another impression from a few months ago when I stupidly put a heavy box on my seat, It hasn't ironed itself out.

Good leather conditioners will not change the colour of the leather. The conditioner will make the leather soft and supple and thus may allow muscle memory to work.

I've heard from others that hair dryer can help. Just warm the leather then massage the spot with a good conditioner.
