Guys are CPO cars worth it?
I found a car I like, it's CPO and sold from a Porsche dealership. They will ship the car for free across the nation. Would you guys trust that it being "CPO" and from a Porsche dealership that it would be in mint order? Would you trust buying it sight unseen?
Thanks.

I would travel and see the car first. If you can't do that at least see if their is an independent that can do an inspection for you, or ask someone on this forum to stop by and take a look. A plane ticket is very inexpensive insurance to make sure you don't buy a car you don't want though.

This is the car I'm interested in:

Anyone around that part of Ohio?
I'm in Afghanistan so trying to get in on a winter type deal. I think people are willing to negotiate on sports cars when there's a foot of snow on the ground.

Been to that dealer before, they are reputable.
I may be back that way later in January if you haven't pulled the trigger yet let me know.
You are correct on better deals in the winter - that car will likely not sell until March so if i were you, i would definitely try to go low on your offer.
Get them to provide the DME readout and the service that they performed as part of the CPO - if that all checks out and you can get the deal you are after, i say pull the trigger. The car is almost 6 years old, so expect a few minor blemishes cosmetically, but that is easily rectified. It only has 18K miles, so it should really be in overall great shape i would say.
I know some independent shops, but they are south in Akron. You may PM ECS Tuning (based in Akron, OH) and see if they are aware of any close to that dealer.
Good luck!!

Question, what is all this "deviating stitching" listed? Looks like normal black thread to me..
$3,260 to turn the thread color black? Sorry I am new to all the crazy Porsche options.
So KBB for the vehicle options, clean carfax and condition, CPO is at $82,996 and NADA for the same is coming up as $81,825. I will try and get the DME.
Considering it is a Cabrio and no PCCB's at the start of winter, what would you guys start at for an offer? I'm also military so maybe get some help there also..
Would any of you guys go above those KBB/NADA figures as "final" offers?

A few items have me curious:
Maintenance inspection completed
Wiring repaired
Airbag system checked
Engine/powertrain computer/module checked
Body computer/module checked
Headlight(s) replaced
Convertible top operation checked
Maintenance inspection completed
Battery replaced
Spark plug(s) replaced
Lighter replaced/repaired
Brakes checked
Ignition coil(s) replaced
Engine/powertrain computer/module checked
Maintenance inspection completed
Parking brake adjusted
Ignition switch replaced
Engine/powertrain computer/module checked
Wing/spoiler replaced/repaired
Is it me or does that seems like a lot of repairs / maintenance for a car with 18K miles?

The seats really arent seats. The bottoms are velcroed on and the back can be easily removed. Some people here love the PCCB but i dont get it they are not great on the track and stop same as the non. They dont have dust.. not a worthwhile option IHMO. Dev stitching should be colored.... black stitching...humm.

Squat looks like I may end up in Alaska, hence looking for a AWD sports car. I have a 4WD Truck for the day to day stuff.
Ya the maintenance is a bit unnerving..
Wiring repaired?
Airbags checked?
Constant CANBUS checks
New headlight.. (rock maybe?)
Convertible top "checked"?
Ignition coil(s) replaced? Why on earth would that need to be done...
Ignition switch replaced? Do these go bad or did someone try and jump start/steal it lol
Wing/spoiler replaced/repaired. Like squad said, could have gone bad at only 14K miles?
Seems the dates and mileages don't add up for a single accident or something.
Anyone familiar with:
Manhattan Motor Cars Inc.
New York, NY?
Seems they did most of the major repairs.

Porsche cant CPO some things. Meaning if its been in an accident major paint, the wrong tires. They are pretty strict. I dont know if I would do Cab there. Destin Fla I would

Ya, makes sense on the CPO. I just wonder if there is a conflict of interest when the same dealer is doing the CPO inspection and also selling it.
