Hey guys,
Curious what others think about black intercooler inlet ducts?
My car is Arctic Silver and has black accents already.
Too much?

I think it is simply a matter of personal preference. I don't care for them.

OP-did you paint them yourself? Where did they come from?

 

I have not done it yet.
Was thinking of using Plasti Dip to see if I like it first. That would also add a layer of protection from rock chips as I have one on each already.

 

Do it! Did mine with plasti-dip last weekend and very happy with the results. Plus, if you don't like it you can always go back.

 

I like the Carbon. DBcarbon, Rottec, both sell them. Vorsteiner also, but they are pricey.

 

ill only do them if I had more black accents on the car like a werks1 front lip or something similar!

 

Funny that you say that. This morning I saw your post in the photos thread and that got me thinking. I didnt realize you Plasti-dipped them.


Thanks. I'll look at those options. I LOVE the "dry" carbon look. I need figure out a way to achieve that look on my spoiler. The clear coat on it scratches to easily and shows swirls constantly.

I agree.
My car has a black lip, side skirts, GT3 vent, carbon spoiler, and black Turbo badge. I also have black semi gloss vinyl I'll be wrapping my roof with in the very near future.

I went ahead and painted them last weekend. Ill get some photos tomorrow.

 

I did mine with plast-dip also. Like the look.

 

How easy is it to remove the inlet duct? Is there a DIY?

 

It's easy if you have the nylon trim tools. They just pop out. There is a DIY somewhere.
