Multifunction steering wheel

Hi guys. I want to install a Pioneer Appradio 4 and be able to use my stock multifunction steering wheel to control it (using Joycon to do so), but I need the following information.

1/ Do you guys know the resistive values of the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel?
2/ I believe Porsche operates on CAN BUS (but I could be wrong). If it is CAN BUS, where does the CAN BUS signal come from? Does it originate from the steering wheel? Or does it occur after the steering wheel?

I had my audio guy search around for a Pioneer interface module that plugs into the multi function steering wheel with little success. PAC makes steering wheel modules but not for the 997. Prefer not to splice into wires to minimize future issue. Let use know if you come up with something.

tlis300, thanks for the reply. I'm sure it's possible to use a Joycon so that we can use our stock multifunction steering wheel to control an aftermarket unit. But I need to know what the resistive values of the steering wheel buttons are, and whether it's a CAN BUS signal.

If I'm able to find that information and do it, I'd love to write something for other people to do the same thing. I have something really cool in mind. I plan on 3D printing a specific bezel for the Appradio 4, so it looks stock. And after I get the bezel 3D modeled in a file, I'll definitely post the Bezel file here, so you can 3D print it too. And you should check out the Appradio 4, it mirrors your iPhone or Android phone, and it looks super clean.
