I found a nice set of HRE's local and was wondering if these offsets would work. Front-8.5 with an offset of 51 Rear-11 with an offset of 35 fit on the 997 TT? Thanks guys!
Yes you're good. Add 5mm spacer to front to match the aggressiveness of the rear.
Factory wheels are 56 front and 51 rear offset. 7 mm spacers front yield a near flush look at a net 49 offset, and 45 is about as far out as you want the fronts. Rear OEM with 15 mm spacers put you at a net 36 offset, and pretty much flush. This setup is what many use and close or exact to GT3 setup.
So the wheels you listed would be within 1 mm (out father) on rear (than OEM with 15 mm spacers), and 2 mm( in farther) than OEM with 7 mm spacers.
You should be near perfect with no spacers.
Hope that helps.

My previous setup was oem wheels with 17mm spacers at the rears, which gave a ET34. The car is lowered and never had issues with rubbing, even with 4 adults in it.
For the front, GT2RS has 9x19 ET47 which is equivalent to 8.5x19 ET41 but since has 8mm wider fender, the normal fender would accomodate ET49. But the 997.1 GT3RS which has the same wide body as the turbo has at the front 8.5x19 ET53.
That is why i said that his size should be perfect.
So, I ended up buying the wheels and having them refinished. I had to take the stock spacers from the front and having to use them on the rear wheels due to the lug bolts being too long for the rear. I bought the car used and had no idea that the OEM wheels used spacers. I think the rears stick out a little too much, I had to do it with the spacers in order to get the car home. As soon as they took the OEM wheels off I sent two of them home with girl in the Audi. Does it make sense to run the front with no spacer and the rears with the front OEM spacer? This is my first time dealing with this,so I'm kind of puzzled. I think it looked good with out the spacers on the rear. Do these cars have different length lug bolts?
Actually the OEM wheels do not use spacers. Sounds like the previous owner put them on. You can take the spacers off, but you will need to replace the lug bolts with the proper OEM shaft length which is 30mm. Spacers require longer lug bolts by the amount of the width of the spacer. So, as an example, a 7mm spacer requires a 37mm lug bolt. OEM length lug bolts are usually available on ebay or from after market wheel suppliers as well as the dealers. Very nice wheels by the way.

Thanks! I figured that out yesterday too. But I did give the dealer my Vin# and they said the spacers were an option on my car. I took the spacers off the rear, looks much better. Minus the $203 lugs.
