I think number of owners affect the price slightly. I believe options is key to slow down depreciation

Worrying about resale for a car you did not buy yet is just ridiculous. Just enjoy the dam car when you get it. Holy cow. Did you guys save your girlfriends virginity for their future husbands?

Yeah, just buy the most car you can afford and enjoy it. Not worth worrying about resale since 99% of cars depreciate. Might as well drive what you like

Point taken guys. I was just concerned that it might be nearly impossible to sell a 5 owner car if I needed to. I guess I am overthinking it.

Ok, so what are the must have options on the 997.2's?

I was the 4th on mine, I don't think it matters too much on these cars. I can see how the get to 4th, 5th and 6th owners etc. I think some people buy them and try and daily drive them. Which I think this car isn't good as a DD, but then again what the hell do I know.

I wouldn't get a 5 owner car. I probably would get a 1 owner car if possible

I couldn't, even if I tried.

I agree. I shopped for about 6-7 months looking for the best car for the best deal, and it finally paid off 4 weeks ago. I found a low mileage (27k) 2007 manual in amazing condition in something other than black/black (a lot of those out there for some reason). I picked it up for low $70's which was $8-10k less than other comparable cars i was looking at. It was a one owner car, and it was also CPO'd so I have some extra peace of mind for another 2 years. Basically zero over-revs on the DME to boot.

As hard as it will be, I recommend being patient in your search, and the right car will come along eventually.

Agreed, unless you are one of those guys who leaves a car bone stock, which imho is a travesty on a car that responds this well to mods.
