After doing my 10.2 @ 135.6 at Famoso, I did the 200 mile drive home in torrential thunderstorms and flew home going over 80mph in semi-flooding conditions. Of course I just didn't zoom off I went slow and progressively got faster, particularly as I was going through large standing puddles without any hydroplaning. Of course these were brand new R888's so tread depth was 6 or 7/32nds.

Yes but for drag / roll-on stuff you are probably ok just getting rears.

btw wish you were here in SoCal I have an extra set of PSS and R888's in storage that you could borrow.

I was shopping for some MPSS as well and because of the back order, I went back to the drawing board. Decided to go with the Bridgestone RE-11's per cannga's recommendation. They won't last as long as the MPSS but you get better performance.

I've got a set (4) of Trofeo's that I've been using for track tires. They don't have a lot of tread left, but should hook really good when hot. I'll help you out and give them to you for free if you can come pick them up this weekend. I'm in the castle hills area by Pier 121.

I'm not far away, just up 423 in Frisco. Thanks a lot for the offer. I have a used Pilot Super Sport coming that may work, we'll see how it goes...

I couldn't plug the tire because there wasn't a hole in it. The valve stem came loose and deflated the tire, then it got munched getting it off the road.

I normally do, but I have also mixed R888s on front with PS2Ns on the back, and believe it or not, love this 2nd combination quite a bit. Seems the front get a nice bit and the stiff rears make a nice torque steer...?
