Car cover question

I am new here so please excuse my ignorance. I just bought a car cover for my 2013 TT from a local dealer. The cover says it is a 991 Cover. I thought my car was a 997.2 and if so, are there any differences in the design/fit of the cover?

Thanks.

I'm sure you know which model car you purchased, correct? There are lots of differences between 997.2 and 991 and the rear end is a dead giveaway. And there are different part numbers for the 991 cover and the 997.1 and 997.2 covers. Figure out which model car you have and then ask the dealer if they sold you the correct cover.

Based on the picture you posted previously, you have a 997 so I'd go back to the dealer and get the correct cover. I think the 991 cover is longer so it will fit your car but not the way it should.

look at the visual comparison of the two... two completely different cars and shapes. Take it back!

Btw is the PORSCHE outdoor car cover good? I mean is it better than other leading brands?

Yes, I know my car is a 997.2. I just wanted to know if the car cover is different for the 997 and 991. The 991 car cover fits but it looks if the 997 one is different it will fit better. They gave me the wrong one.

The bigger question is to get a California car cover or the OEM factory cover....

Do most of you use the outdoor car cover for inside/outside use? For my Corvette I had a satin indoor cover and a water repelling outdoor cover.

first thought to cross my mind was how much I dislike the snugness of the OEM covers, and how the 991 version might be a better fit on the 997 than the 997 cover.

Great shot, the 991 looks gigantic next to the 997.

991 kind of looks like an Mitsubishi Eclipse.
