Mesika1021 is infamous around these parts
Freed

Did you see the speed Freed cars run at? Slow and slower why would you give them the car. I made one pass last September with my 08 997 before my fuel pumps took a dump 165mph. I ran my Maclaren Saturday. I was looking for 170+ this weekend with my Porsche clutch was slipping she stayed home.

Also, just to clarify. Freed has only put a clutch in for so far. So whether the car performs well or not, so far it wouldn't be his fault at all. I just think I got a car with some known or unknown issues and I'm trying to get it all sorted out.

This was mostly a post to see how other EVT775 cars have performed. Sound like mine is either missing parts or has a problem.

pick your poison

I'm not going to tell you where to take your car. I'm happy with the service I get there. They work on both of my Porsche's, M5, VW, Maserati, Maclaren. All I know tuner dyno on hand one stop shop.

Sorry again.........sometimes reality bites.

PS Your Shelby and Z06 (probably unless it's a 2015-16) weren't forced induction. Big temperature differential!
If the cats are right next to the turbo then that's what can cause excess heat. But EGTs are EGTs. If the cats are on a supercharged car far down from the headers then that doesn't produce any higher temps to the cats than a comparable naturally aspirated car.

so what did your maclaren run? with 6000 d/a you would have never seen 170 in the pcar.

Hi,

Sorry to hear it did not go well. I am part of the Wanna GO Fast Team Ocala and there was a 991 TT S with a tune and cat deletes trapping 155+++. I can try to check the numbers from so other 997's TTS with similar power, but I agree with most of the comments that you may have an issue with one of the cats.

Regards,

Manuel

I went to "test pipes" on my Fabspeed exhaust, aka cat delete, after my experience 10K miles ago and my car has never run better - no CEL's, codes, or anything for over a year. Also, the exhaust tone is less harsh and smoother with less drone and the motor seems to be "loafing" at highway speeds, for want of a better description, until it's turned loose. Just a much better experience overall.

Are you really from CO? And I thought that, all the recent additional CO2 was from the "Recreational Weed?"

Never mind, Its coming from Steamboat.

I've got the Europipe on my car with 100cel cats. Actually have really been wanting to put BBi's exhaust on this car. But they just moved and I've been trying for a couple months to get them to produce the exhaust I want. (catless)

I would be surprised if cats are the problem but it's worth looking into.

Sounds like bbi's design then will increase cat life since it's not next to the turbos.

I think so. I'm not an engineer but that's what I have been told by a few people including those that have nothing to do with Porsche products or trying to sell me anything.

I was also told that cats next to the turbos is what can cause higher EGTs and limit power. What I have found so far is that the dual 200 cel FJS cats on the BBI exhaust placed away from the turbos and in the place of the traditional mufflers have not impeded power at all for me.

Yeah, that was a tough weekend for going fast. A lot of mediocre trap speeds.
