First off thanks to all the tuners that responded in that thread I posted a while back. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to talk about your tunes and what you all bring. I know a number of you thought I was throwing rocks at certain guys. Well I was asking them point blank about some issues possible with a tune. As most of you know, the FPR hose can blow off causing a catastrophic failure. Having rebuilt a couple of BMW engines after adding a blower I was a little concerned, first one the RRFPR blew and I lost the whole exhaust along with the engine.

Anyways Cobb Tuning posted a thread on this a while back and In talking to Mitch I was again told to check that out. I was baffled that so few of the board knew what happens when you mess with A/F ratios, especially from respected builders. All of the tuners that I talked too were aware and warned me about it when asked. Mitch and others have gone out of their way to let guys know this. Once the A/F leans out on you, there is no saving the car, you now bought yourself a new engine.

I ended up going with a Cobb Tune from Sambo By design. The Customer service from Sam was really above and beyond. I swear he about drove it to my house then checked on things to make sure I was happy. I would recommend him to anyone looking for any Porsche products.

Got the product and wanted to change some tunes up and being gone a lot I figured I would shoot Mitch an Email on the weekend thinking he would get it on Monday and I would have the file by the following Friday when I was back in town....
Well within about 2 min I get an email with the file!!!! Had a few issues getting the file installed, I might have copied a number down wrong. Well Mitch was patient and responded multiple times on the weekend even though I told him to enjoy the weekend and I could wait.


Its people like this that I was used too in the communities I am in. They truly embody what the spirit of the forum concept and what you want from a tuner and Speed shop.

Really appreciate the service from you Sam, and thanks for bending over Backwards for me Mitch.

Just pulled the trigger on my Cobb tune today as well

 

Bought a clutch from Sam a few years ago...... Great guy and awesome customer service.
