lovely! am doing a slow build (Gt2rs inspired) as well, but adding different touches to mine with BBS FI instead. Your build is very inspiring and expensive! hehe

Haha yeah it's coming. I'm actually going to Tech9 today to collect some parts that I've sold so I'll see where they are on assembly. I had an email on Friday saying they'd had to order some retaining clips from OPC for the bumper to hold the grills in so that's going to delay slightly. They were saying Wednesday but this may delay it, but unless they come across any other parts missing then I should get it back this week.Originally Posted by 9e 28
I have feeling the big day is arriving. What a journey
Already priced up the parts for the roof. Skin, liner and carbon panel for lights etc. That's the next phase. But I'm due to go back to sea soon so that will be next time.

Haha yeah I'm not sure it will ever be finished! I still have a list of things I want to do...Originally Posted by 9e 28

Saw my car today. It's nearly complete, just the bumper lacking some parts, so they can't fit it. Everything else is done. The fenders are on the car and look fab. Unfortunately there are small parts that have needed to be ordered which need to come from Germany. They also told me there was a bracket missing that holds the washer jets in place on the bumper and they couldn't find the part numbers to order them. I managed to find them on teile.com and called Wilmslow to place the order: £110 each! for this little bracket WTF???
Bracket for washer jets

Anyway they are ordered and will arrive Friday-ish. Also different are the side repeater indicator lights and connectors (not the glass part but the inner parts). Can't remember exactly what he said but they need to order some parts to switch these so they work. I think he mentioned replacing the connectors.
The bumper is sat on a table, tantalisingly close to completion - frustrating. And if that wasn't bad enough parked right in the doorway was this absolutely stunning & slammed (real) GT2RS. Left hooker but gorgeous nonetheless.

And another mistake on my part is that I ordered the wrong front tyres, so now I have had to order the correct front tyres, at £420 the pair! Doh. I could have left them but they are the 'wrong' shape. Yes they are round, but not the chunky side wall that I want. They have been ordered from tyreleader. So brand new tyres up for sale if anyone wants a bargain.
Good news is Road & Race have done a great job on the re-lacquering of the spoiler blade. Richard, the chap who's doing the build on my car thought it was OEM. That's a testament to the actual blade as well as the finish. Like I said to him I'll be happy once it's fitted and it the right shape!
So maybe I'll get it back end of this week or maybe it will be the beginning of next now.
Original finish and now satin finish

You need a couple of bits but some things transfer over. The brake light and fan can transfer but you'll need the loom for the GT2 lid. Luckily mine came with everything but the fan.Originally Posted by blindfold
really love that gt2rs rear decklid/wing, do the fans and hardware simply carry over from the turbo? Looked through your videos and it seems they bolt right up? Looks stunning
So my car is ready to be collected. I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning. Phil from Tech9 sent me a photo in the meantime! I'm so happy with it, can't wait to see it properly.

Very very beautiful
