Ok I'm an another victim of blown motor!
Completely different companies that work in partnership with each other. GIAC provides the tuning, Champion provides the "hard parts".
Champion Motorsports has a LONG racing history in the Porsche world.

GIAC exclusively produces software, not hardware. We develop hardware and then we turn to GIAC to provide us with the customized tuning solutions we need for each particular hardware combination. We have worked with them for MANY years, and have nothing but complete faith in their ability to provide the best possible software, in every sense of the word.
That being said, GIAC also partners with other hardware manufacturers to provide the same service. AWE and GMG in the Porsche world, as well as others in the BMW and Audi/VW world have the same hardware/software relationship with GIAC that we do. Where our relationship differs is that we typically play a bit of stronger (if not key) role in the development of new Porsche software because we normally purchase our own new car as soon as their released, in order to get an early jump on the rest of the pack.
Honestly I don't remember if it was the shop I bought the parts from or the message relayed from Champion, which may have been misinterpreted by the shop.
Ahh, ok. A lot of times I'll get the question about whether or not the GIAC software is flashed into the car using a Durametric cable like some other tuners do it, to which the answer is no. That could be where the confusion came from. The Durametric cable will always work for datalogging and fault code checking, but it's not used for actual flashing by GIAC.
We are separate companies, although sometimes I want to kidnap their entire staff and make them work for us full time.

Update:
Finally my new motor is on its way. Sam went to the LA Dismantler yesterday and checked everything to make sure before they shipped. He said this motor is like damn new. Actually it's not even broken in yet with less than 2k miles. I feel like I'm getting a new car! Sam took the bunch of pics for me and sent me right away. What a good care of his customer! I know he will do the same thing to his other customers.
Here are few pics from him.

Thanks Lawerence. I will contact you guys later.
He had to send it back as a core exchange. Those engine cases are expensive as hell to buy new!!
