Did your ambients change? Is it much colder now that you're noticing it? Tires need temps in them to work properly.

Can someone assist by telling me what wheel hop is? On WOT, shifts from 1st to 2nd has a skipping/bouncing like feel. On normal shifts first to second shifts are buttery smooth. I've ruled out the clutch and the tires are near new.

Best explanation I found (imo) http://www.mc2racing.com/tech/20061012a/

The explanation is simply (afaik) that the driving (rear) wheels manage to move forward enough to change toe, this makes the tires loose grip, once they spinn acceleration drops and they will move back to the original toe/position and regain grip...and then it repeats.

So better grip even under wrong toe can help/hide this, thus better tires can "help". But the recommendation is replacement of bushings to minimise the movement.

I think the explanation makes (a lot) sense and am looking at the bushings fro the wishbones and control arms in the rear at the moment, could be a fun DIY this winter

I have rss semi solid and it changed nvh slightly but hardly at all. Made car sound a little more mechanical thats all. They do however make a drastic improvement in feel of the car. Really help keeping all the weight in the rear end in check during acceleration and turning.

I cant help other than that. I am stage 2 93 octane and i dont get any wheel spin or hop unless the road is wet then get some hop in first gear. I have PSS and RSS engine mounts stock suspension.

I think my two "issues" with my car is probably symptoms of unwanted change in toe. I am considering either a go-pro or something better to try to measure how much the rear wheels can travel vs the chassis.

No point in fixing things blindly. If anyone has some clever way of collecting this data pls let me know. Right now I am considering a rig with laser measurements, accelerometers and a Raspberry writing to ElasticSearch
