Quote: Hi,

I suddenly felt the engine response strange and heard a little noise (was on the track) so stopped at once.

Tial confirmed the left turbo ballbearing went (phenolic cage) and the right one was not far.
The max boost I ever ran is 1,58Bar (HKS), oil and water lines are Ok, we are now checking for eventual boost leaks and everything trying to understand why... WG hoses were perfect.

Ok, my AHTA3071s will be upgraded by Tial to custom AXR5756s
There will be a power gain for sure, I hope for not too much loss in spool.
In a few weeks we will know!

Quote: My custom Tial AlphaXR5756s are arrived in France, should arrive to me tomorrow according to the tracking.
I can't wait to run them!

I ran last sunday a 610hp AudiRS4 (2.7TT), the car was quite powerfull (at its level) but a little bit laggy, I hope my new turbos won't destroy the extra responsivity my engine had with the 3071.

I cant wait for you to run them either bro.

Good luck P!

The turbos arrived yesterday, I just had a look at them and sent them at once to my techs.
First feelings:
-The turbine/compressor axle is not as "free" as it was with the HTA, because of the preloaded Xona CHRA, I hope for no consequence with the spool.
-The turbine does not look very different vs the old one IMHO
-The compressor is beautifull, a work of art multi axis machined part (and I know what I say, machining is my job)

They will be bolted soon.
Cheers, P.

Hello, I had pm'd you a few days ago, do you have a name of someone I can contact at Tial? I have had a VERY difficult time in communicating with them.

Sorry Ken, I didn't had your pm (and still not!?)
I shipped my turbos to Todd at Protomotive who shipped them to Tial, so I didn't had directly Tial.
Perhap's not the most economical way but Todd knows them, they both speak their native language, I will need a new tune, etc...

Cheers, P.

This afternoon I FINALLY received a message that my turbo was sent out overnight!!
It is just so frustrating that one cannot speak to anyone at Tial.
