Turbo upgrade
#32
The car is back since yesterday, I drove it 400km to come back home.
The weather is awful here and I only did a few pulls in 4rth when dry roads. (Spinning in third gear on the cold and irregular roads, MPSC2)
For now basis tune, WG only (1,1Bar) and pumpgas.
I didn't noticed any difference with the spool but feels stronger above 5000rpm, as expected.
The turbines sound is different vs the 3071s also when you cut at idle.
I hope for better weather now in order to datalog it and improve the both pumpgas and E85 tunes.

Do you mean Xona turbines are louder?and good luck in your project

I can't run the car during the week, so I can't wait for the next WE!

I ran the car today, I can confirm the 5756s push stronger above 5000 but the spool was a bit better with the 3071s. (Still low boost and basis tune).
I sent the logs to Todd, waiting for an optimised tune to raise the boost.
PS: did a few 6' 60-130 during the logs (5,2/5,3' 100-200)

Still no time at all to run/log the car, I even told my best friend to take it for logging it for me. (Still pumpgas file optimising)
A few days ago I noticed a little coolant leakage in my garage...
The car is back to my techs, engine might be down this week, I will turn some 6064 fittings and weld them. (my cpo offered my a warranty exchange with oem parts but it will not last long...)
I still don't know what the engine has in it with those Xonas!
F#cking 2015-16 I have never been so busy...

Ok the car is OK and I flashloaded the E85 basis tune tonight (never tried more than 1,2Bar with the pumpgas file).
First thoughts and logs results:
-1bar is reached 150rpm sooner in despite of the higher AT, 3050 vs 3200rpm by 35°C IAT vs 25°C IAT with pumpgas. (Overlaying the logs)
-target while higher (1,4Bar vs 1,2Bar) is reached 350rpm sooner, 3500 vs 3850rpm (not only from the E85, the higher boost target helps imho)
The car feels stronger but not as explosive at midrange as it was with the 3071s at 1,5Bar, it feels like if it was by a naturally aspired 100hp/liter 8 liters engine powered.
We will play with the boost by rpm and the tune in the next days and raise again the boost in a second time.
During the logs 2 persons in the car the VBox showed 100-200 in 4,9'

Tried a litlle more boost before 4500 to help the spool tonight, did 100-200 in 4.7' 2 persons in during the logs.
The long terms are still a bit low while all is ok with Lambdas and ignition angle stability, Todd will see that. (Btw, IDC is 60%)
The feeling is better, more torque.
I guess alone in the car by 1,6Bar and lower AT the car can touch/break the 4' at 100-200, I won't run massive boost.
