I was wondering how much the meth is helping you out times wise, 0.3- 0.5 sec worth?


Have you ran it without meth to see your times?

 

To be honest i never dynoed my car or did any vbox runs before the meth install. I regret not doing that. But according to the butt dyno, the changes were very significant after the Meth. The drop in intake temperature to below ambient sometimes in the summer is just unrealistic!

I tried switching the meth system off once, the car didnt like it at all. Never again

Amazingly quick to 130mph. I do not think anything this side of a Veyron can keep up with these tuned 997 Turbo PDKs when it comes to sheer acceleration.

 

Yeah. Jumping from this to my R8 is not fun at all. Although 700whp+ GTRs and 997.1s are faster.

 

So the Weather cooled off for a bit tonight. 28 degrees C. Went out for a small run. I was able to do multiple 6.1 seconds 60-130

Im running pure methanol and a mixture of ELF LMS fuel and Pump 91 octane on my pump map.

Came back to check the files, turns out one of the runs were 6.080 Seconds 60-130mph

SO best so far is:

6.080 Seconds 60-130mph

5.197 Seconds 100-200kph

Hoping to get into 5 seconds with a race map, pure MS109 and sub 20degrees

 

Truly, truly impressive numbers! You are running what I run on my Proto 63.5mm 997.1 (6spd) with E85 in 13 degree weather (I am running stock 997.1 intercoolers)!


I see you are hitting over 1 g's, so I guess you start the run in 2nd and let the PDK to the rest until 4th?

Congrats your car is really doing well! I wish I was not so afraid of getting caught on public roads at night time Therefore have been limiting my data collection to Airstrip/Track/Drag events.

 

Apologies for the late reply and thanks for the kind words. I am really happy with this current tune. Emre hit the nail on the head with it. And yet I started from second gear and just floored it, cant remember if I ended up at 5th or not, will take a note this weekend. gotta love the pdk. Stay tuned, we are tweeking this tune a bit more.



Yes, the road i do my test on starts with around a 15-20 meter slope if I am not mistaken and then it flattens out. I have other similar runs with 1% slope and the 60-130mph is 6.2 or 6.3seconds iirc . I will post them in another post.
