Hey Members did you know Pirelli was purchased by Chem-China. It is going to put it's technology in the tire now.

 

Not saying the tires will be any better or worse but it still bothers me and admit I do not like most of the changes happening in the world lately= if that makes sense.

they probably have a majority stake but not wholly owned.

volvo has been partially owned by the chinese and it's doing better than it did before. chinese have funding and often leave the operations alone.

 

I'm pretty certain I heard this about a year ago.

 

all i know for certain is the RED logo has been removed from my most recent pair of rear p zero's. which i find highly ironic HAH

 

Pirelli motorcycle tires are now a part of Metzler tires, that used to be made in Germany. They still carry the German price but most have been made in Brazil for years, same with Pirelli, made in Brazil not Italy.

 

This same Chinese Co just bought my home track Miller will be interesting to see what happens.

 

Being in the motorcycle business for decades, I remember when bikers used to wear only USA made leathers, vests, chaps, bandanas, engineer boots and such. Now I refer to them wearing as wearing their Chinese costumes.

 

Most Harley's clothing and many of its parts are made outside of the USA.
Also Metzeler motorcycle tires has always been a sister to Pirelli as long as I can remember being in the motorcycle community , to long .

 

times they are a changin they're invading America by the power of $$$$$$ which is better than ICBMs, lol

 

As long as they keep sponsoring World Challenge so I can keep buying the takeoff slicks for my race car I have had good luck with them.
