I've owned semi-gloss black rims with steel brakes. It's a pain in the a$$ to keep clean. Dirty black wheels with caked on brake dust looks like old and rusty Honda steelie rims with no hub caps. Brake dust is especially abrasive so it'll be impossible to keep the painted black wheel perfect. Obviously if you have CCB's, you'll be fine. One more thing, i was not a fan of the floating car look. My car was silver and the contrast was too much. But if that's your car in your avatar, black would look great against the gray.
