Durametric experts,... Steering wheel buttons

I just bought a Sport steering wheel from a Tip car,.. that will be going into my manual trans '07 Turbo.

Is there a way to make the Tip buttons act as multi-function controls?

I.E. make one side do radio volume,.. and the other side cycle through the radio pre-sets / CD tracks? (That second one may be impossible as even the multi-function wheel in the car now isn't that advanced.

I don't have Durametric,.. so does anyone that's familiar with that know if that can be done?

Did your take-off wheel already have multi-function control? If so at least the wiring is present - if not, Durametric won't help if the wiring isn't present.

Yes,.. I have the multi-function wheel now,.. but will be installing a Sport wheel with Tip buttons.

I don't "need" steering wheel controls,.... but if they Tip buttons don't serve any purpose, it would bug me and cause me to try to find blanks for them.

BUT,.. if the +/- symbols actually did volume and channel,.. that would be pretty cool.
