2009 GT2 Protomotive 4.2L Big Turbos E85
There are 2 ways to try and push the limits of the injectors, low ethanol content, which could equal detonation, or high base pressure which could equal pump pressure loss. Both would extend the injectors slightly, but both coming with risks.
are you still running a single weldon ? I am running 3 pumps and scaring me..
Now that the car is making a tad under 1800whp we are currently adding another Weldon so two haha. Also moved to twin 1700 ID injectors.
I would give Sean a call at Silly Rabbit Motorsports. His new fuel system is awesome. I already pulled the trigger on adding the second Weldon or I would have went with his kit.
IF I ever need to change - I may put in a single weldon and be done w it. It is not the design so much but a pump failing that scares me. with a single pump failing .. (hope the car just shuts down ) ...
the single weldon would be external and still needs an internal pump to push fuel and run under 5psi. i ran a single in tank and an external magnafuel625. decent but major noisy and adds more parts to fail. this setup rocks on all levels!
i know he was working on dual rails for the 997 application as well
From just an injector stand point only (not sure of what pumps, lines etc)with E85 & using 7500rpms red line:
5BAR:
Injector duty WHP
85% = 1500
80% = 1400
3BAR:
85% = 1300
80% = 1230
Should be attainable on a dyno jet?

thats why i had the silly rabbit motorsport brushless fuel system installed in my build. 1 pump handles 1000 hp and 2 1800+. we will start with a single pump and see how far it goes. if i need another before the turbos run out of air he will install one.

Man that looks very clean and high quality unit.
We tidied up the hat as the external lines were already there. The turn key system hides everything while retaining the oem cover
