Steering whell swap from 991.2TT to 997

Hello...i was wondering if anyone has tried (or even willing to try) a brand new 991.2TT steering wheel on a 997 car...over the years i ve managed to install a lot of 997.2 steering wheels to 997.1 cars...any combo (manual, auto,mf or non mf)...but now i believe its time to go on and be again the first to do that install...any info will be appreciated...

Skandalis, I have a 09 997 gt2 and was willing to install a cayman gt4 steering wheel on (same design as the 991 gt3 rs except without the paddles). Before the dealer ordered this part they advised me that it could not be done as the way the airbags are inside the steering are different, but I think there might be a slight possibility it could be done.

Any luck with yourself?

Logic would imply (since this has been done already) that:
997.2 wheel fits in 997.1
997.2 wheel = 991.1 steering wheel
991.2 wheel fits into 991.1 . . . ..SO this would mean:

YES the 991.2 wheel would fit into a 997.1 but there would be some programming involved.
