991 "type" headlights
Curious, if any one has tried these headlights.
I've been seeing them on ebay and other sites.
Apparently www.delreycustoms.com (who I believe is a sponsor) has them too.
Any one have experiance with these?
Quality? fitment? problems?

Not oem Quality but look pretty good. Install isn't bad with basic skills. The wiring for the led's can be simple if you connect to the side markers or a bit harder if you run the wire to the fuse box. No problems as of yet.
Quick reply - cheers!
They do look nice. I'm particularly interested in the "balck interior" ones.
Have you run the daylight driving light feature through them? - guessing that's what you are referring to with the side marker setup. Any photos of what that looks like? Is it a halo or the four dots.

They are actually on in the pic but it's hard to tell. It's the four led's but at night it lights a ring around it. I wired them to the fuse box so they come on when I start the car along with the lower drls. The black would look good on your color car but get kind of lost on a black car.

Thanks Tony.
Yeah, can see it there - cheers!
What about self adjustment of the beam - is that functionality still available with these?
...or would you have to manually adjust?
Out of curiosity what lower drls did you go with?

The self adjusting works. They don't have external adjusting like the oem has so it could be a pain if the beams are off. Mine seem fine after the install. I can't remember where the drls came from but it was a sponsor here I believe. I personally think there all the same china based units. Every set I looked at was the exact same wiring and module right down to the wire colors.

Looks good.
I'm very interested to see how they last - keep us posted!
Any idea why they have the two indentations at the top? That has always bothered me on these and just wondering what the purpose of that is if any...

Yea I said the same thing when I saw them. Originally I thought they had something to do with Checking their alignment but I came to the conclusion they do nothing. Don't know why they did that.
Looks great
Any chance u have a night pic? Wanna see how close the colour of the led ring matches the led Drl. Tia

That was my thought when i was considering them previously.
That would be a good idea But I would probably buy the carbon ones and paint them. The flat black would be a different texture and may not look right. Or carbon wrap the hood and just leave them carbon. I would have to see what it looked like both ways.
