Any Thoughts On Everrmaxx AGM H7 Battery

I was going to replace my 5 year old OEM battery with Walmart's Evermaxx H7 lead acid battery, but then I saw they have an absorbent glass mat (AGM) battery that is only $11.00 more ($154 v. $165). I know there have been a lot of forum members who recommended the H7. Anybody have any recommendations or experience with the AGM. I plan on continuing to use the battery tender on whichever I purchase. Thanks

H7 is a universal sizing designation, not a brand. Evermaxx is a good brand as are Interstate, Bosch and others. AGM batteries usually get high marks. Everstart Maxx H7 has 790 CCA while the AGM version has 760 CCA.

I bought an AGM battery (H7) on amazon based on a recommendation in a post on the forum. So far my car cranks more consistently than my old lead battery especially when sitting for a couple days (no tender). Not sure what the condition of my old battery was though. Didnt really answer your question but im happy so far with my agm. About 2 months old.

I also have a bosch agm, but I went with the H8 for a little extra CCA. Fits fine in the stock tray by using a bolt and nut to hold the clamp down.

FYI - I just replaced the tray on my 996 (it was a 997 part number) and the last hole is now threaded. Don't know when they changed but that sure makes it easier to use the H8 size.

I was actually asking about Walmart's AGM battery priced at $164. They were out of stock so I bought their regular Evermaxx for $152. Perfect fit and 20 minutes to install.

Nope. I bought the Exide Edge for ~183 based on one of the recommendations on this site. I guess Exide is the non-named brand of a better company, cant remember which.

I also prepared H7, H7 works best for light passenger automobiles... this is what I found googling H7 vs 94R Battery
