Ok first of all i am really liking the overall look of this car... much more complex and modern than the 996... the only reason that the rear end is looking unpleasent is because of the spoiler... it is too big IMO... but guys whats with the fuss about not looking different than the 996??? i mean the 997TT is based on the 997C2s... whats there not to like about the design??? it is much better looking than the 996TT and it will have increadible performace as well... i really don't see what all the fuss is about... i am LIKING IT!!!

Front end looks like a fat cat fish. The other end with the oversize exhaust cut outs around the overly thought out exhaust tips is too busy. I do not feel compelled to rush to my dealer. Perhaps it will grow on me...perhaps not.

You shouldn't base your decision on looks alone. A lot of people said the same stuff when the 996TT came out. In fact, you guys know that there are people that still feel that the 993TT looks much better than the 996TT. The most important thing to remember here is that it looks similar but it's a totally different car based on the 997. The 997 is way better than the 996 in every way imaginable. Think about it that way and the car is a slam dunk whether it has 450hp or 500hp. The stock 997TT will be a vast improvement over a stock 996TT. You mod happy TT guys can go crazy once tuners come out with all of their mods.

Anyone who thinks that the pics that were first posted of the 997TT were indicative of the real thing are deluded.

Porsche has been doing awesome and I doubt anyone thinks they will screw up this. Add on to the fact that the 997 carrera looks GREAT ...this thing will be awesome.

i actually like the way they mask it - i mean the 996 style light. that makes the front looks more interesting with the bumper. the 997 round light is kinda weak & small for the car.

Some how, I seriously doubt that the 997 TT will have 500 hp. Given the CGT is making 600hp or 605 or whatever, it will ruin their sales.

Although the CGT is in another class, but if the TT is at 500 hp, then the future X50 package will be at 530 hp? Ok so thats like aprox 70 less than the CGT. Then there will be the GT2. Then what is the hp figure is going to be like on that car? 575? You see what i mean? It will ruin the sale of the CGT even more that what it is already. The sales so far isn't great and if they put those TT/GT2 hp close to CGT, ppl will buy the GT2 instead. I know that some ppl might not do that simply because they can afford to. But there are also a lot of ppl that don't think like that even though they can afford to and might just get a GT2 for half the price.

I think the 997 TT will only really have 450hp or so, otherwise they will ruin their marketing strategy

My dealer says he heard the performace of the 997TT will be as fast as the CGT. Don't know if it means 460hp or 480hp? Looking at the time of the 996 X50 0-60 in 3.8 and CGT at 3.6sec very likely that the 997 TT will clock 3.5sec.
Besides I think Porsche is given up on CGT sales!!
