As far as horsepower of the 997tt goes; I heard from a good friend of mine who owns a big dealership here on Long Island and he told me that its gonna be 460hp.
He also said that there will be NO hp upgrade in the new turbo until the 07 or 08 models. He also said that the price will have a base price of 12 thousand more than the last turbo. So figure a base price of about 130.
he also said that the ceramic brakes may NOT be standard.

As far as being faster or just as fast as a CGT;NO way!! Yea it may be next to it up to around 50 or 60 mph, but after that,Goodbye!!

IMO,Porsche realizes now that the 996tt has softened up as well as the whole Porsche line up. The 997tt will be a sick car to look at as well as to drive.
As far as my situation is concerned; That car so far has not blown me away. For me to make a move to that would be very costly.

All the press releases keep alluding to the TT having a 3.6 motor. Does that mean the S with a 3.8 is an 07/08 car??

I don't know why but to me the 997 looks like a completely different car than the 996 but from these pictures the 997TT looks almost exactly like a 996TT.

Strange.

Funny. I have always considered the Boxster to be a Karmann Ghia on 'roids.
