997.2 SRM port injection kit / PTF custom tuning - Stage 1000 coming right up! :)
My two cents-
I ordered a Stage 1 fuel mod about 2 months ago from Sam, and let me clarify Sam is not the issue...this man's customer service is A+++. As many of you know there are 3 stages to this fuel mod and I did not want to go all out as my plan is to trade for a 991 TTS come December. Well, long story short, I got tired of waiting on promises from SRM to Sam and just decided to go with a simple meth kit from Sam. SRM may have multiple projects going on and thats understandable, but if you say that the ETA on the kit is one day and then you keep on postponing and postponing...that is not right, with cash on hand you deliver and thats it, at least in my book. We all have high expectations with this kit, but if any of you have talked to Sam, you will know there is a lot more to it and mayor tuning is involved. Again this is my honest opinion...you promise, you deliver!
Regards,
Manuel

I've had a lot of experience with various shops over the years and have spent well over 400k on mods alone for various cars. I wouldn't be surprised if SRM is bankrupt or going under. They have pretty much disappeared from the forums and have been very inconsistent with their products and services. Those are all red flags I've seen over and over throughout the years.
Unfortunately it is often the case. Hopefully not!
Damn, sorry to hear about your story. Sam definitely seems to be very good and supportive. He tries his best.

An opinion with no factual information - just what the forums are all about! Right?
I know Sean and I've been on the waiting side more times than I can count. Sean and I have a good relationship, but that doesn't bump my car to the top of the line, I have to wait like everyone else.
For reference, SRM is run mostly by Sean. Overhead is minimal and in order to keep it that way, he has to limit expansion and be careful with who he selects to work with or hire.
These things take time - often more than most people want to wait. The upside? You get a product that nobody else is delivering or save some serious money if you're patient.
I can attest that Sean is not going bankrupt and has plans to improve, but these things don't come free - time, money, or both have to be invested.
I agree to what others had said - be honest about your timelines and expectations, I've told Sean the same thing. I personally rather tell someone it'll be 4-6 weeks vs tomorrow and have them go elsewhere if they don't want to wait - but that's me.

I can appreciate what Sean is trying to accomplish.
I have been posting on this topic since back in 2015. About how complex this is because hardware is just the tip of the iceberg. Numerous people here initially dismissed my comments saying how easy it was for other platforms so it therefore shouldn't be complicated for this one.
I showed the potential of an upgraded fuel system on a bolt on factory stock turbo 997.2 with a 139.9 1/4 mile vBox at shift sector in nearly +3,000 DA earlier this year. But there were still numerous issues to deal with as I was triggering fuel-related limp modes when speeds exceeded 250 kph.
The bugs have since been worked out and tuning still continues. The factory fuel system provides for a lot of margins of safety, and those are gone when the fuel system is modified. So bad things can happen real fast.

Best of luck with these projects.
longboarder, think you missed the part about the delay so far being just a few parts that needed to be sent so actual install can be done? That's been the hold up so far given everything mentioned and not complexity. I'm sure this won't take long once it actually can be installed fully on this car. Hopefully Dzenno can dedicate himself 100% to this soon given their BMW product release. I feel bad for him given he's pulled in multiple directions at the same time on such critical products for the two platforms. We need to send him some good vibes!
