Has anybody been able to make 3bar Map sensor work with Cobb?

A little while back me and Dzenno tried to make 3bar bosch sensor work on my car since the stock sensor is at the limit with my boost levels. After a while we gave up as the ECU was acting very strange and car was throwing random codes every 10 minutes and drove horribly. Back to stock sensor and all was smooth again. We wrote it off as a Cobb software bug. Has anybody been able to make it work?

I can't comment on Cobb software, but 3bar/4bar MAP sensors in general are no big deal to setup for these cars.

What codes did you get?

IF the car has successfully been pressure tested I would install the new MAP sensor and check its reading: MAP value at engine off should be equal to ambient pressure. If not, the sensor calibration is off.

If both of the above conditions are ok, your problem is in your tune.

Do you still have the sensor? We just assisted with two 997.1 Turbos last week with our 3Bar sensor installed with out issue.

If you'd like to send me an email at Jon.Hebbeln@Cobbtuning.com I'd be more than happy to help you get everything sorted out!

Thanks!

-Jon

Mine works fine. It was throwing a weird code before the custom tune by Sam but I expected that because of the scale ranges of the sensors. After the custom tune I've had no issues whatsoever.
