i do a lot of the wannagoifast events. winner is determined by who crosses first but that may not be the fastest car. time isnt a factor only speed. roll racing can be done theres a cone approx 100 ft out from the tree. they simply let you go and at the cone hit and run but its not accurate

just like the 1/4 mile track the trophy is only for the class winners. awd, rwd, manual , heavyweight etc. they have classes at wannagofast for privateer and for sponser cars. anything else is just like a test and tune nite you run what you brung and the fastest has bragging rights for the night! in clayton they even had a 2000$ prize award for the overall fastest sponser car and privateer car

on the privateer side its not out of the realm of possibilties in the right class for some of the tt cars on the forum. manual class or rwd is what i choose and from what i see depending on the event 185 could take a trophy

I was there as a spectator as much as a competitor. Trying to get my wife some more seat time to get her used to using launch control and staying in the throttle til the end. She did very well, proud of her the one pass she made at 151mph!

Trophy goes to the fastest in each class... I entered in awd class, I was NOT the fastest. I didn't even get a participation trophy (crying) 😢 but it's decided by whatever class you enter. Example... Saturday top speed was an Alpha 20 GTR which ran 217 mph! Sunday the top speed was another GTR that ran 221 mph. I came in juuuuuust behind those guys at a blazing 153 mph so I was almost in the hunt. Haha!
You line up like a drag race, light turns green and you go as fast as you can for 1/2 mile then get on the brakes before you see if your car can float? (Water at the end of the runway) If you and your opponent choose to you can go from a roll... most go from a dig.
I'm a drag racer so I like that see if I can tree my competition and how far out on them I can get. I knew I wouldn't outrun most of the guys there, but I damned sure had fun putting busses on them early in the run. Ha!

So all based on MPH at the 1/2 Mile Marker, and I assume they have two timing window boxes there at the 1/2 Mile Marker?

I made 546awhp on a mustang dyno in the Texas summer heat. Only mods are a Europipe and Cobb custom calibrated tune. Car weighs whatever a standard 2011 TTS weighs. 3400ish lbs?
