Every time I see this thread come up to the top, I am just hoping to see you say I received my refund!

In summary:
Race Tech Forged is a fraudulent company with a fake address. Their wheels are cast pieces of crap, not forged at all.
My personal story is still unfolding. Supposedly they have sent me a certified check. I do have a pic of it and a tracking number. We'll see though. Not holding my breath that it's legit.

Its unfortunate that these wheel company issues just keep coming up and keep coming up. I have seen a handful of these threads over the past 10 years, bunch of these companies are literally Ponzi schemes.
This is why I stick with HRE and BBS and buy only from reputable dealers. I can understand why people go to the smaller brands tho, HREs pricing has skyrocketed past 10k for a set of wheels.... heck even a nice BBS set is 7k plus.

Cashiers check arrived today. Took it to my bank, they will be checking to see if it's valid and contact me. Not sure how long it will take to clear with the holidays and all. I will definitely update you guys the second I hear one way or the other. The cheque was for the original amount of the wheels, they said that they will NOT be reembursing the $450 it cost me to send the defective wheels back to them. That being said, given the place I was in a few weeks ago, I will be very happy to get anything and be able to move on from this terrible experience.

there is a silver lining here jay , it seems via gary's findings, you may have been getting cast wheels. i think you would be more sick paying all that money to find that out after the fact . merry xmas buddy .

They had the gall to post a new special offer on another section and got into it hard with a few of the guys who were previously scorned by RTF.
As for my $$, I spoke to the bank today. They are still holding the check, so despite what RTF may post elsewhere the check is yet to go through. I hope it's just normal bank delays around the holidays and that there is nothing wrong with the check.
They also finally got back to me re: the reasoning that they will NOT be paying me back the $450 it cost me to return the wheels. They stated that their policy on returns is that it's at the customers cost, plus a restocking fee. Not sure how returning wheels that were manufactured wrong falls into that category. Typical RTF answer though. They are a bunch of f*@king clowns over there. I'll post as soon as I get word that the cheque cleared (or not).

Unfortunately, I forget the name of the bank procedure but if you request it (I think it costs $10 to do) they can put a freeze on the account until there are sufficient funds for your check to clear...this deprives them of using the account by never depositing enough for your check to clear...good luck

Why would they issue a refund check rather than refunding your credit card which is thw way you payed ?
that seems like bs to me
there is no reason for them not to just refund the credit card
it should be refunded the same way it was payed
