After reading what Rob.boost said about the NYPPD mounts,.. I decided to try a set. They were $280 shipped.

Made from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, and using 75A Durometer bushings. Lifetime warranty.

Tossed them on the scale first. 2 lbs, 7.3 oz.

The stock mounts on the same scale were,..... 4 lbs, 10.2 oz.

So the NYPPD mounts (and likely the RSS mounts also) save you 3 lbs and 2.9 oz.

I have the RSS Motor Mounts (75A Durometer) and the Torque Solutions Transmission mounts (also 75A Durometer). I have a Tiptronic as well, and certainly feel it tightened it up quite a bit. I am going on a little over 3 years now since the install and still love them. A nice upgrade.

They do add a little additional NVH, but as someone else mentioned, it just makes it feel sporty. Not nearly as sloppy/slushy as it felt before. Also helps you find any rattles in the car

The OEM mounts are big chunky things too!

Good luck!

Still waiting on my RSS engine mounts to come in. Hopefully they'll be worth the wait. Should be today or tomorrow.

Yes...They are similar and relatively (very) easy to change. Just be sure to support the engine!

I put the directions HERE

I'll come back in there and edit this post when they have been installed in a few weeks,.. and I have weights on the stock mounts. I understand they are around 5 lbs.
I look forward to hearing back. So far I really like mine.

Update on the NYPPD mounts.

One thing to note,... they designed them to be dimensionaly the same as the factory mounts.

BUT,.. they forgot that the factory ones have play in them,.. and when supporting the engine, they sag 1/4" or so. Which Porsche factored into their exhaust design.

The NYPPD ones don't sag,.. so the entire engine and cradle are held higher in the car,... and your exhaust tips will sit VERY high in the bumper cut-outs.

I recently changed from a Tubi exhaust (which you can rotate a bit to change the height of the tips) to a Kline,.. which has no adjustment.

The tips were nearly rubbing against the top of the bumper cut-outs.

I had to re-install the factory mounts.

I hear the RSS and perhaps another are adjustable somehow. The NYPPD ones aren't.

NYPPD may also be out of business.

They operated out of this store-front, along with PSWR Racing and Sunlite LED NY,.. all sharing a couple phone numbers,.. neither of which are in service.

This is a problem with the Kline exhaust - mine is the same and my factory exhaust was centred. The Kline sits a few mm too high and is almost touching the bumper.

I re-installed the factory motor mounts,.. and the tips came down a lot. Not quite centered,.. but acceptable.
