No charge. Shoot them an email or give them a call. Make sure to use some t-clamps regardless. Don't use they clamps provided.

Yes t clamps are the best ... but please make sure that the bolt is has a slight bend in it... they give better even pressure then the t clamps that have a straight bolt...

seems like other people were able to resolve this amicably by contacting AMS directly without any pushback from AMS.

AMS is no longer a vendor here so they will not be able to respond to you here, so I suggest you contact them directly.

Thanks

AMS got back to me, they are working with me to provide me the updated parts. I think if everyone contacts them with their issue and provides pictures showing the failure they will work with you. That was my experience.

My buddy bought AMS and broke few times and had to get them welded. This AMS IC is initially designed for AMS alpha 9 kit. Definitely not for stock turbo or upgraded VTG turbos.

Really want to thank this forum and AMS for info and company stepping up to the plate.. new updated version will be sent out to me ..looks like the new version is tied down together will see how it holds up after a few track days..

Glad to hear it Brooklyn. My answer was going to be contact who you got them from and AMS will support you and the supplying vendor 100%. Funny thing is that I have several running around with no issues. A few did come up and AMS was great.

I have had this issue come up about 3 or 4 times now with my 997.2 stock turbos and AMS coolers. Sam and AMS have been super helpful with the customer service and getting me new rings. Unfortunately the updated silicone coupler pictured on the first page is only available for the 997.1 right now so us 997.2 guys will have to wait a little longer to get this issue resolved.

So true .. These little plastics left me stranded roadside so many times .... After swapping to alphas no problem at all, holds 1.6bar with regular wormgear clamps like a champ ...

My buddy had to take it to the shop few times to replace broken couplers and AMS only were able to send free couplers but who's responsible for labor and all these trouble.
After 3rd time he gave up and have the shop welded them
AMS should have stated in the beginning that their ICs are for their Alpha kit only and the rest require some modification.
But at least they have updated kit for 997.1 VTG now.

AMS sent me several adapters but without fail each one broke apart. I ended up cutting the stock hose ends off and grinding them down to create my own adapters out of rubber. They have held perfectly. No issues since after both track and street driving. Good to know AMS came up with a fix. It was very frustrating.

I did find AMS to be very helpful. I only live 90 minutes from them and they offered to take a look for me. They were very responsive. Sam was too as always.

No no. By failure mode I meant how the plastic adaptor failed.
