The CF center console on my 997.2 TT PDK has warped to hell and my good friend donated me his 997.1 GT2 CF center console.

On the outside they look identical and the CF weave pattern/color etc are the same, however under the console lid the GT2 has a 12v outlet and on my 997.2 there is the PCM 3.0 inputs etc.

Does anybody know if the 997.1 GT2 console is the same as the 997.2 TT?

 

I switched my painted console from my 997.1 manual to my
​​​​997.2 pdk without a problem. I had to switch the inside console plate which can be tricky to get out but take your time and it is easy.

 

Thanks for the help, did you have to remove the seats from your 997.2 to remove the center console?

The new cf console will probably warp too with time ... These were really poorly made better to change to something else imo ....

 

At first I was planning on replacing it from DB Carbon, but when my friend gave me his and it is in perfect shape, I figured might as well use it and get another 2-3 years before it goes bad. Plus I barely drive my car and it is garaged so it should last sometime.

You know how it works, will use the money that was suppose to go on the Center Console replacement on other CF parts now

 

No need to remove seats, just look for all the bolts...Lol. there are quite a few
