Help!!997.2 paddle shift steering wheel in 997.1

Ok I'm installing the steering wheel back but to me it seems that the new wheel doesn't go flush as the old wheel. Is it me or is it that way? I already installed the steering column unit. I have attached the pic of old and new wheel. Could someone advise? Thanks

I think the holes are slightly different if I remember correctly but when you tighten and torque it it will be fine.

Yeah, I was freaking out and didn't stop to think. 😂😂 I went to measure how much spine the column had and marked the new where it would stop. Measured the new wheel spine and found out it's almost double of what the steering column spine is. As long as I have all the column spine in the steering wheel I'm ok with it. After I take it in and out now. Doing this will be a walk in the park. Thanks for the reply
