I know the sluggish feeling you're talking about, even in stock form when running right the 997TT pulls like a freight train.

After some inspecting, I'm going to go ahead and say its definitely the diverter valve or actuator rod. Both of these come down to do the plugs and with several different techs in the shop and 4 different areas, (2 valves, 2 actuator rods) I'm willing to bet someone left something out.

My issue is based on my "complaint", and the way it was handled, I'm can almost say for certain they're going to say "we didn't do that" and charge me like 3-4 hours of labor. FWIW they charged 10 hours of labor to do the 40K service. I paid the money based on quality but there's no way in hell I believe it took 10 hours to do the job. . .and that was with me providing the parts.

I think I'll be seeing you this week. I spoke with Elvis from MPire Boys. You're currently working on his yellow 997TT. I may be coming over to the shop with him to pick it up. I'll give you gents a ring later today.

I'll be dropping the car off to get looked at this week.

I drove it to work today to make sure the symptoms are still obvious and reproducible (yes thats a word lol) so they don't look at me like I'm foolish tomorrow.

So 1st through 3rd gear it seems like it makes boost and pulls strong, but i noticed 3rd gear spikes and goes toward 15-17 psi, well above the 12-14 for "normal" mode. Only thing, is that the acceleration slows down and the speed doesn't correlate with the amount of boost the car is making.

Then in 4th after, acceleration falls off big time. Boost doesn't go past 8 psi and the car has brutally slow acceleration after 5000 RPM, it kind of just backs off altogether. Pretty much the same thing for 5th and 6th. I really miss my car. I can't wait to get whatever it is sorted out. Just figured I'd add some additional details to this post for some even more feedback from you great folks.

Similar but different issue here, above 4000 boost falls off and I can hear air rushing in or out somewhere. Looking forward to hearing what they find on yours.

Ok guys I'm following up this thread with an update for my car. The issues have been resolved. It turns out it was the actuator rods sticking after all. They were kind of bad shape to be honest. The good thing is they were $37/piece so I had them both done. I wouldn't just grease it, its too cheap of a part to not replace altogether.

I had another minor issue that was addressed at the same time. The hose that leads into the throttle body had a small leak under pressure also. We had that replaced but it took almost a week to get here from Porsche NA in Atlanta.

Now for the results. Holy smokes the car runs better than the day I picked it up from the dealer in January 2016. I can't believe how good it feels. It definitely sounds the part too. Everything is super tight, boost spools up immediately and it comes on strong. I can't believe how good my car feels. I'm VERY VERY pleased.

Big shout out to AIM Performance in NJ for stepping up to the plate to help resolve this problem. I had full intentions on coming out but the day I was supposed to bring the car, my ride and I couldn't coordinate since he had to get out there early. I'll definitely be bringing the car over to you guys for my future needs. Thanks so much again.

Turning it up is totally what I would like to do. What I don't want to do is get one thing done only to have it affect another and then come back several times. I'd like to go with Cobb for tuning, but then that requires doing the clutch and of course I'd want to do an exhaust and intercoolers at the same time so all in all it adds up real quick. I have to plan for that.

I think between two major services and my TE37 Ultras I just received after 6 months, the wife will have my *** for anything else for 2017 lol. The good news is, those are all on the 2018 timeline. I'll come by before that though, Elvis told me amazing things about you guys. Looking forward to meeting you gents.
