Lowering my 997 Turbo

Hi Guys,
i don't know sh*^ about suspension. But hear it is. I bought TP's DCS should be here soon. All I want to do now is lower the car so the stock 19's fill the wheel wells. Yet I can still use as a daily driver/weekend warrior. I heard if I do coil overs I can wind up in an alignment mess. Any thoughts?

I have GMG lowering springs, HR sways and DSC. I love it. Springs drop it 1" and I personally wouldn't go any lower. As I understand it DSC only works with a select set of coilovers.

Eibach springs bring the car down to the euro spec and it is perfect for what you are looking for.

A couple old pics to illustrate.

Good Intel. Wondering if it would possible to source springs from Europe if you wanted to keep your suspension "stock" best of both. Lowered and stock

Great feedback guys! Rebel, with some spacers too the stock wheels fill in and look great until it's wheel time.

I'm pretty sure coilovers are the "right way" to do it if money isn't an issue. Something like Bilstein Damptronics aren't too crazy expensive and work with PASM like OEM.

Or, apparently there was an uncommon option on European C4 GTSes where you could get OEM lowered springs straight from Porsche, and they fit the TTs. That's probably the spring setup I'd go for since it's factory.

Put H&R springs in my 6 turbo, measured ride height (lower than GT2) then calculated/extrapolated settings and had it dialed in on a Hunter laser wheel alignment machine. That all worked perfectly, handles great on street and at track, perfect rear tire wear.
