The old "warning" indicator problem. I have had PTM, PSM and PASM warnings, both individually and separately (PTM) intermittently for months. New battery and code reset did not stop this annoying issue. Seems best and certain way to induce a warning is to park the car, locked, in the sun for a few hours. Often no warnings after a night in the garage unlocked. Crazy and frustrating. Any thoughts?
I had something similar happen last year. Ended up being the PTM module. I replaced and have had no problems since. Have you used a Durametric or PIWIS to scan the codes? I had to get the dealer to try and get the PTM module to a ready state using their tool and it didn't work. Durametric didn't have that capability. The new module cost me around $600 (Canadian)
Good luck.
Good luck.
