Oil seepage - any guesses?

Noticed today that there was a bit of an accumulation of oil seepage from what appears to be the part highlighted in pink:

This is on the driver's side near the exhaust.

I wiped it up a bit before the photo, but it was basically covered in black oily grime. It's an '09 TT and it doesn't drip or create puddles, although there was also a bit of black grime on the silver pipe in the foreground. I wouldn't have noticed this if not for looking under the car.

The car lived in the north east for most of its life so cut me some slack on the embarrassing rust.

Edit: From looking at the parts catalog, could it be an oil pump o-ring? Is that one of oil pumps? Oil pressure is fine and normal and the car drives well otherwise.

Yes, I think you are right. I believe that is the oil scavenging pump and the o-ring tends to go. I have been monitoring mine for the same symptoms.
