Difficulty swapping cat to test pipe and back

How difficult is it to switch between catalytic converters and test pipe and back? I want to switch for track events and back to legal status on the streets.

The last time my mechanic installed my Kline exhaust, he said never again. I'm assuming since the cat's are bolted directly to the turbo, that's the most difficult part of the installation process?
