Ted, thank you so much for taking the time to post the pics. Looks like I have the right hoses. I didn't check the "collar" around the hoses to see if I would have the same issue as you but I did look inside the end caps and didn't see anything I was concerned about.

I'm trying to figure out if the intercoolers in the Big Pack are different from the "regular" DO88 intercoolers which are under a grand on their website. I'm pretty sure they are different, right? lol

Also worth mentioning you get so much heat soak when queuing at some events intake temps are circa 50c at the start.

Can't wait to see what misting system they have used on 991 GT2 RS as will try and raid OEM parts bin if I don't go with your big coolers. The quality control in the pics above is not great.

I was also looking at Wagner EVO 2 coolers too which are cheaper than these big D088 coolers. Spoke to my local agent for Wagner and lol no comparative data available in terms of temp but his comment was that they do look nice

Are you talking about misting water onto the intercoolers or methanol?

I didn't notice any quality control issues with my set but will post back after they are installed. For the price, they include a y-pipe, nice hoses, and the shroud so I think they are reasonably priced for what you get. Considerably less than the AMS system. Don't really know how they compare though.

Yes, the $1000 kit has much smaller cores and uses the stock shrouds. They are an upgrade over 996 or 997.1 OEM ICs, but may or may not be any better than the 997.2 OEM ICs.

Hmm. Didn’t realise this. A little disappointed tbh - I thought they were the same. Instant buyers regret!

Curious. Can someone weigh these and compare the weight to the 997.2s? Thx...

Per do88's website

It might sound like a big weight increase but compared to other actors on the market with intercoolers in this size it's a low weight!

Do you have to fill a reservoir for this system?

Interesting. Yeah I know what you mean, as much as I'd like the benefits of meth I don't think I want to mess with it even if the risks are small. It's not like I get to use all my current power often anyway.

Good to hear. Did you get any data showing improvement with the big pack? i.e. intake air temp differences under similar ambient conditions

Anyone put bovs on this ypipe? Where do you put them so that they don't interfere with hood closure?
