Im in the middle of having a major refresh of my car, in the process I'm installing an RSS 931 competition roll bar.
My car has a sunroof and in the RSS ad it says its a tight fit, its a very tight fit and the guys already ripped my roof lining during install which is now being repaired... The bar is also being repainted to match the interior properly.
Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with roll bars touching the roof and does it cause any squeaks or creaks?
If so, any solution other than removing the sunroof or going with another bar? Can chromoly be grinded down?
Can't answer that...mine doesn't touch (no sunroof)...if the bar and the roof move in unison while driving maybe not...you might loosen the attachment bolts and see if you can move the bar just enough to keep from touching and then tighten them evenly

Touching the soft headliner should not cause any issues. It has some give to flex, and the alcantara on steel will be quiet. I know my rss 930 bar does creak at it's front lower seatbelt mount.
