I've had both EP1 and Kline with 100cel HJS cats. I prefer Kline as had zero drone and has a progressively nice loud pitch when in kick down. To add Kline customer service is second to none.

When I was shopping for an exhaust 3 years ago , I personally observed a BBI and an EP from local club members. I liked the sound on the BBI as the EP had a certain tone like a truck at idle almost. At that time the turbo owner with the BBI informed me about Kline as he was switching over. I went with a Kline and glad I did. Zero drone and with an exotic sound at full throttle

Armytrix valvetronic is sweet you can decide weather your in the mood for noise or you just want to feel like stock. they are about $3,800-$4,000 brand new

One I have ruled out is Tubi - after reading a lot of threads they seem to have a lot of bad comments on the sound quality

There are some others which have plusses and minuses
Yes, stay away from the Tubi. My car had that crap when I bought it and I took it off of there as soon as possible and sold it. Just not the right tone for these cars IMO. I went with the Remus as I have installed them on several bikes and couldn't be happier with the sound on the TT as well. Top quality stuff and the way the car was meant to be as OEM, not too loud/drone but still sporty. Its not the lowest backpressure/performance choice out there but a good daily driver option. Depends on your priorities.

I had Remus back in the day on several of my BMW and Mercedes 30 years ago when they were the only game in town and they had that TUV rating that is so important for those who reside in Germany - it is decent stuff and an upgrade over stock but certainly not ultra high performance parts

The armytrix marketing material is so horrible, makes it seem like cheap junk, especially as it was shilled by vivid. Glad to hear someone actually rates it.

That said I'm happy with the Kline sound, but not overly happy with the build quality.

Yes, not "ultra high performance" but what is that? I just know I bought the Remus Revolution carbons for my FJR1300 back in 2005 and I still have them on the bike. Never cracked, never any corrosion, never changed tone or needed repacking like the Yoshimura R77 I have on my FZ1. Remus did their homework on the tone for the 997TT. Pretty much perfect for a street car. If you want loud and raspy/turbo spool etc, then yeah, Remus is not your option.

Exhaust????

I have enjoyed my Europipe stage 1 on my 997.1 turbo for 4 years and without a doubt , the best upgrade from a sound and performance point of view. Stef was amazing in providing assistance and when i was deciding which exhaust to go with , the quality played a major role which the Ep is best . Porsche , there is "No Substitute " and why go with anything that takes away from that.

I went from EP1 to EP2! I love the bass tone of the EP system.

Exhausts are such a hard thing to shop for, especially when trying to evaluate reviews online. One man's "exotic race car" is another's "strung-out farm tractor."

It is very hard indeed and there are so few modified 997 Turbos running around - many of them like mine sit in the garage most of the time

BTW - if anyone is looking to pick up a EP 1 in like new condition with less than 200 miles and save some money OPM me as I am changing turbos now and will probably need to upgrade to the EP 2 at some point
