What do I need to look for when buying a 997.2 TT? Do they have any weak points or things I need to be aware of with the heat from the turbo's. I am switching to the turbo form my GT3 since I want an automatic trans. Love the GT3 but the clutch is a bit much on the street.

997.2TT / TTS's are somewhat bullet proof from what I've seen. Bought mine 10 months ago. Driven it almost 5K miles (quite a few spirited drives) and not one problem yet. Almost 36K miles on the clock. Been to the drag strip once too. 10.96@124.1 completely stock.

However I did recently buy a Fidelity Plat. 6 / 60k warranty to make sure if anything does go wrong (especially with PDK) that I'll be covered.

Never heard of any real weak spots on the .2, as opposed to the .1's coolant pipes or camshaft sleeve.

Saw some issues about the 9A1 motor on a Cayman forum, but I believe it was mostly regarding ancillaries and not the engine itself. I have 2 of them and so far, zero issues.
