Front Lower control arm torque ?

can anyone tell me the torque setting for the front lower control arm to the body which I loosened off to fit my springs , I believe the suspension has to be loaded up before you tighten , also the drop links as well

From the WM4001TW manual:

Threaded
connection, cross
member with
diagonal arm to body
(front) M 14 x 1.5

Please note:
Do not
grease
threaded
connection in
Dacromet
finish –
aluminium
colour.

Tightening
torque
160 Nm (118 ftlb.)

There is no mention of pre-weighting the suspension for this, but the WM401819 says to use a new locknut.

The drop links from WM400119 says:

Fit connecting link on anti-roll bar.

Fit connecting link -1- on anti-roll bar and screw on and tighten
nut -2- .
Three-stage tightening procedure (1st stage: tighten to 50
Nm (37 ftlb.). 2nd stage: loosen by 90 degrees. 3rd stage:
tighten to 65 Nm (48 ftlb.).: 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)

Also nothing mentioned about pre-weighting the bar, but I normally do this with the suspension by manually positioning by using jack stands and measurements from the center of the wheel to the fender. That way there is no preload on the bar. I don't think there is much of an effect on the front diagonal but I do the same thing on almost every suspension bolt I install.

Thanks for that in regards the suspension being under load before tightening the nut I can see the sense in this because when you slacken it the arm drops and like your suggestion my intention was to compress it with the trolley jack then tighten the nut

Cheers

Just make sure both sides are up when you do that, use a jack stand on one.
