Help - just washed car and now not strating
Hi all
turned over car reversed out of garage and turned it off( could be issue)
washed car and went to start and everything works but clicking and then nothing. All lights on but door windows will not go up when I shut them so can’t alarm it.
also now throwing abs and pms failure and brake is hard to compress
is this battery issue either wet or done?
cheers

not sure on age of battery but it has been on trickle before but it’s only been a few days.
it was just weird it started before the wash then wouldn’t after.
good news is that I plugged in tender for a couple of hours and it’s all good.
just a bit strange, will check out battery age

Sounds like it had just enough juice for the one start. Even if it's only sat a few days, if the last trip was a short one, it might not have gotten the battery fully charged. Did it sit for a while before that too?
Out of an abundance of caution, I replaced my battery when it was 5 years old even though I kept it on a trickle charger and did not have any problems starting the car. I don’t ever want to have to deal with getting the frunk open when the battery dies, especially when it’s the middle of the night and I’m 50 miles from home. A non-OEM battery can be had for $160 and it’s a 20 minute diy. It’s short money for peace of mind.
