Installed my Kline catless exhaust a few weekends ago (what a PITA) and made a few quick videos mainly because there were so few of it when I was trying to decide which exhaust system to get.

Quick review:
-Love it. Very subtle when you want and very loud when you want.
-When just driving it can be quiet enough to not bother the neighborhood or anything. Louder on startup and idle, but not terrible so. The right amount
-When mildly accelerating it makes a very nice high pitch exotic tone around 3.5k, so of course that’s where I have to shift now.
-WOT it sounds awesome and loud, the classic turbo grunt with some modern Porsche tone mixed in. Sophisticated instead of just “loud” like some of the other catless systems I’ve heard

Overall I'm glad I got this exhaust for the car. There are moments I wish it was louder and moments I wish it was quieter, but I think its the perfect level for what this car should be. I wasn't going for max volume as I already have some other cars that check that box and get annoying after a short drive.

I have a Kline with cats and my feeling is that it enhances the Porsche engine sounds almost exactly Cozmos comments. Nice rumble on startup, won't **** off the neighbors and on WOT sounds mean.It's not as exotic as some other offerings, but I didn't want to annoy my neighbors.

FF-01s really??? they look good on the car! I was considering them but really wanted 12 inch wide and the FF01 don't come wider than 11. Wow, they are quite flush. No spacer, right? I may just get them as they are about a
quarter of the price of the other HRE forged ones that also look awesome.

 

I have never been a fan of max volume, I think it sound great based on the videos. Never underestimate sound in your enjoyment of a vehicle. In fact, never underestimate the importance of sound for hobbies in general. I recently bought a new blacksmith hammer, and this thing just SINGS when it hits a piece of steel into the anvil. It's a game changer for me.

 

Sounds excellent! I figured with no cats it would be extreme.. but quite the opposite!

 

Sounds great. What size tubing do you have? And do you get any turbo spooling or whistle sound?

 

I believe this one is 70mm. I got it from Sam at ByDesign, who was very helpful.

As far as the spooling noise, not a ton with this. Definitely more than stock, but less that I've heard some Fabspeed and Speedtech exhausts. A little disappointing at first, but then, when am I gonna be revving this thing all over the place to hear the spool other than the day I install it.

 

Sounds great and your description is spot on. I have the same system from Sam with 100cell cats. I suspect mine is still a bit quieter with the cats, but I found adding the kline manifolds shortly after installing the exhaust made it sound even deeper down low and a bit higher pitch at 4k+.
