How rare are the 997.2 turbo cars? Not seeing many...
Cargurus is a pretty large used car website and when I look for 2010-2013 911 turbo cars only 6 of them pull up regardless of location. That's nationwide.
And when ibget rid of any cars that have frame damage or been in an accident that number drops to 4.... where do most people sell P cars? There's a ton of 991 and 992 cars on cargurus so it's not the platform.
Also the market looks a little all over the place. Some cars are turbo S but being sold/marketed as turbo cars.
Anyway my dream car has always been a 997.2 turbo I dont think i need the ceramic brakes and i know id do a tune and some bolt ons so the S isn't really needed.
Thinking about picking up a car this summer but doesn't seem to be much of a plethora of cars to choose from. Any advice would be helpful!
Most people keep their 997.2 cars. They are super reliable, the issues of the previous generations were solved and they age well. Many feel the later versions became bloated and over sized. I read that porsche is going to decrease the size of the next 911 due to feedback form owners. The only thing I would like ot add to my car, if I could do it without major surgery would be to add apple car play. I only want to a good looking and reliable solution. Other than that its perfect.
Hi, I didn’t take any pics as I had it professionally installed. The solution includes an additional board to be installed in the stock PCM 3.0, all the necessary wiring, and an external box for surround cameras and a usb for software updates. The backup camera triggers with the reverse. The front camera triggers when you put the car in Drive/first. Unfortunately, this is the only way to triggers the front camera, so it’s not as useful as I was hoping. You retain stock look, and all functionality. Sun coast sells a competing kit, by GTA, but in uses Bluetooth for audio instead of MOST, so you love some sound quality.

They seem to pop up fairly randomly as they tend to either be private party or specialty dealer (Ryan Friedman Motorcars, Grand Prix, etc) sales. The PCA Classifieds is always a good place to look, as are BAT, pcar auctions, cars.com and Autotrader. I’ve occasionally seen them pop up on eBay as well, but those cars tend to be beat to hell or have unknown histories.
They really are that rare. Short production run and low build numbers, and most clean ones sell privately or through Porsche dealers and specialty brokers, not CarGurus. Prices are all over because condition and spec matter a lot, and Turbo vs Turbo S is often mislisted. Patience and a wide net are key
