I've owned my 2005 C2S (manual) since 2014 and it's time for an upgrade - I'm not opposed to losing that 3rd pedal (blasphemy, I know) but I'm wondering - do I bide my time and wait for an S, is it worth it?

I recently upgraded from an ‘06 997 S to a 997.1 Turbo, but test drove both the 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S before making my decision. Have you taken either out for a spin? While I think the PDK is an incredible transmission and that the Turbo S was blisteringly quick with it and fun to drive, I got much more of a visceral rush when rowing my own gears. For that reason alone, I had to have a manual. The regular 997.2 Turbos in a manual are tough to find since so many wanted the fancy new PDK and they’ll pull an absolute premium when the do come up. So while I much prefer the updates of the .2 cars, the .1 fit my budget and my desire for a manual - and I have absolutely no regrets.
