Yep, that's the Techart Type 1 (type 2 is the multifunction version)

Just got it a couple weeks ago:

Nice and thick sides!

I can't copy the pictures but it seems they are both type 1

Type 2 has the triangle instead of the round air bag and the silver things are different

Sorry to bring up this old thread but I found it to be fascinating. Lots of useful and important information; required reading for enthusiasts, I think ! Amazingly, you could follow the thread and see the story unfolding, from start to end, of the stages in the development of what eventually became the EVT700 by Todd Zuccone, the man behind EVOMS. Really a rare glimpse into the world of ECU tuning.

Second thing, the importance of octane specific tuning is emphasized in this thread by Todd & here, Alex of Sharkwerks.
Does anyone know if RUF and Cargraphic tune their car using 91 PON gasoline? This info would be important for anyone in California or 91 PON areas who is interested in using European companies for their ECU flash.

We've even sliced open a few motors with clear evidence of extremely aggressive tuning, detonation and so forth on customer cars that have had other programing. Too many times either from Europe or other parts of the US I've ridden/driven in cars tuned way too aggressively for 91 octane. As I said I can't blame those said tuners too much, usually they're just selling a file they've rew-written on their laptop nowhere near a car or 91 octane but the result is a car that pings like mad (not cool). 91 octane is ****- no doubt about that but it's a fact of life in California/Arizona so we need to be tuned for it:P
